Introduction

From February to May and September to December, weekly meetings are organized by the staff for spouses&partners@mit members. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know new friends.

Each meeting revolves around a specific topic, and speakers are invited to share their expertise on current issues such as the American elections process, Boston weather, cultural differences and much, much more. These meetings may also be a short trip within the Boston area to visit museums, get special guided tours and discover new and interesting places. Some of the talks are presented by one or a group of spouses&partners@mit members, and these presentations have covered everything from cooking and dancing to a talk about a particular country's culture.

Past meeting topics:

The meetings take place in the Eastgate Penthouse on Wednesdays from 3:00-5:00 pm unless otherwise noted in the newsletter or website. Presentations begin at 3:30 P.M.

All members are welcome at any meeting, but we all know that plans can change at the last minute. You may not see the same faces every week, but there are usually 15-25 people at each meeting.

Babysitting will be available in the Eastgate playroom. Bring a diaper change if your child will need one and any toy or book your child likes. Plan to spend some time to talk with the babysitters and to settle your child in the room before the formal meeting begins at 3:30 P.M.
