Parking and Shuttles
It is difficult to find parking at MIT, use of public transportation is highly encouraged.
You can use the MIT Medical parking lot for doctor's appointments and health education activities in the MIT Medical Building.
If you have a permit of any kind, you can park in any lot on weekends and after hours (between 5:30 pm and 7:30 am) MIT-affiliated people without a permit may park their vehicles in Hayward Lot, N10 Lot, East Lot, Pacific Lot, Sloan Lot, Windsor Lot and Tang Center Lot (E51).
MIT also provides a variety of shuttles to help you get around campus (including Tech Shuttle, Northwest Shuttle and SafeRide). They also provide a shuttle between the MIT campus and Wellesley College.
The CambridgeSide Galleria Mall offers a free shuttle service to and from the MBTA Kendall Square T Stop. The bus runs every 20 minutes during operating hours. The route picks up and drops off at CambridgeSide Galleria.

Places to eat
There are many places to eat at and around MIT.
The most popular and cheapest options are the food trucks (Chinese, pizza, Middle Eastern) located on Carleton Street in front of E23 and in front of 77 Mass. Ave.
There are cafeterias all over the campus, including the Student Center, Stata Center, the Steam Cafe' in the main building under the dome, and the Biology Building. Click here for on-campus dining options.
Kendall Square also offers many places to eat, including Rebecca's (show your MIT ID card for a discount) and Au Bon Pain (coffee, breakfast foods, sandwiches, and soups), and the food court next to the MIT Coop.
One Kendall Square (near campus, at the intersection of Broadway and Hampshire Street) offers nice restaurants and pubs and a movie theater.
