MIT ID Card
To apply for an MIT Spouse/Partner ID card, fill out the online form at:
https://web.mit.edu/mitcard/spouse/

The application must be filled out by the MIT student, employee or affiliate, and a notice will sent when the card is ready for pick up. The MIT Card Office will not accept applications in person.
To pick up the card, bring with you:
- Your valid photo ID (passport, or US government-issued ID such as driver's license)
- Your spouse/partner's MIT student or employee ID
- Proof of your relationship (marriage license or one of the following with both your names on it: joint checking account, lease license, utility bill)
The MIT ID card can be programmed to allow access to: on-campus housing, campus facilities (e.g. athletics, MIT museum) and parking lots. The card may also be used for the following purposes: library privilege, MIT Coop, MITAC and several off-campus museums. For more information visit:

After obtaining your MIT ID card, you may want to set up a TechCASH account. By adding money into this account, you can use your MIT ID to purchase food or other items and pay for services at MIT outlets, including laundry services in the dormitories.
