Which institutions offer continuing education?

The greater Boston area has more than 70 universities and colleges. So many opportunities might make it difficult for you to find the program you are looking for. For help, please contact The Higher Education Information Center. You can find a list of MA schools on The Higher Education Information Center website. The center also offers walk-in services. All services are free and open to the public.

Harvard Extension School

The Harvard Extension School offers a wide range of courses on topics such as languages, African-American Studies, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Management etc. Tuition ranges from $275 to $1,750. Classes start in September and January.

Some courses require an English exam, so please check in advance.

Which institutions offer affordable adult education?

There are several centers for adult education. Some of them, like the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, offer classes all year round. New classes start every 2-3 months. These centers offer classes on a wide range of topics such as language classes, literature, cooking, sports, stress management, field trips etc. at prices which are much lower than private schools or universities. Prices range from $30 to $300.
