Theatres
Boston's theatres are host to many Broadway shows on tour. Many new plays also premiere in Boston before going on to Broadway. Most theatres are located near downtown Boston in the theatre district, but Harvard Square and Huntington Avenue are also popular theatre destinations.
In addition to classic Shakespeare, some of the more popular productions include Shear Madness, Blue Man Group and Stomp. There are also many performances for young children such as Sesame Street and Clifford the Big Red Dog. Please check directly with the theatres for more information.
During the summer months, there is free theatre in Boston Common. Be sure to check out Shakespeare on the Common in local newspapers.
