IAP at MIT
A special note needs to be made for IAP . Independent Activities Period at MIT. This is a special term at MIT that runs from the first week of
January
until the end of the month and sometimes into February. It is a time when students and many others can participate in activities and classes for fun,
new experiences, advancing a skill or learning a new one.
IAP has hundreds of classes and non-credit activities that spouses can take, and many interesting topics such as hiking, knitting, cooking, and language
skills. To learn more and find out registration information, visit: http://web.mit.edu/iap
Be aware of the registration deadline for classes you are interested in. Usually athletics and sports related classes fill in early. So apply as soon as
you can!
