Discounts


You can get discounted or free admission to places such as museums and the aquarium. Here are some places you should check to see if they offer discounted rates:

MITAC is a non-profit employee service that serves the cultural and recreational needs of the MIT Community. MITAC offers dozens of events annually, including ski getaways, white water rafting, whale watching, sporting events, exhibitions, circuses, theater, music and other popular events. You can also get discount movie passes.

BosTix

www.artsboston.org

Get half-price, day-of-show tickets to Boston's best entertainment. BosTix booths are located in Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Copley Square.



Local Public Libraries

They are a good source of discounted or free Museum passes. Members of the Cambridge Public Library can get free passes for the Children's Museum. Similarly, members of Boston Public Library can get discounted passes to the Aquarium. You will get free admission to the Harvard Art Museum with the Cambridge Library card, and you can also get free admission to the Museum of Fine Arts and the Science Museum with a MIT student ID. The Council for the Arts at MIT has 10 passes employees may borrow for free admission. Call the MIT Office of the Arts at 617-253-4003 for availability.

Most places also an offer membership, which is also a good way to save money on entrance fees if you know that you will be visit that place frequently.
