works as an architect in the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University in Beijing. Since starting his career, he has been trying to solve complex urban issues with an in-depth understanding of the mix of history, local culture, and modern changes. His work, including architectural and urban design, is inspired by specific urban contexts, and therefore reflects those urban elements. Hailin is also interested in green buildings and ecological design, and has completed several experimental projects in China. He has a PhD degree in Design from Tsinghua University, and was the winner of the Young Architect Award of 2005 in China.
