Zheng is a project manager at Beijing Tsinghua Urban Planning & Design Institute in China. He is a National Certified Urban Planner of China and holds a master’s degree in engineering from Southeast University, China. He worked as the Deputy Director of Wenchuan County Planning Bureau in Sichuan, China and assisted the local government in post-earthquake recovery planning implantation. While at MIT, he hopes to learn more advanced knowledge on transportation and urban renewal theory. He also hopes to take part in the professional development internships, as a means to gain managerial and public service skills.
