Patrícia CEZÁRIO SILVA

Patrícia is an architect and urban planner with more than ten years of professional experience in urban and housing development, slum upgrading and land tenure regulations, working with NGOs, local governments and the private sector. Since 2009, she has worked as a project manager for the Housing and Urban Development Company of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture and urbanism from the University of São Paulo, where she has also begun her doctoral studies in urban and regional planning. At MIT, she will deepen her research on land acquisition strategies and affordable housing development.
