Ebru Bekaslan

Ebru is a consultant and researcher specializing in regional economic development. She worked for the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg, where she assessed municipal infrastructure finance projects and analyzed the contribution of lending operations to regional economic development. In addition, she conducted applied research on high-tech clusters in developing countries, which resulted in new EIB financing in Turkey. She holds a Masterís in Regional Economic Development from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. At MIT, she will focus on the potential of investing in critical physical infrastructure for the electrification of the transportation sector and its linkage to renewable energy sources.
