Jesse Dart
His self made title of "Jesse Dart The Invincible" is probably well deserved
since he is clearly the most powerful cyborg in the galaxy. He possesses superhuman
strength, speed, and agility combined with sub-human foresight and good judgement.
HIs great strength his shown early on when he is reminising about his earlier
days as an out of control cyborg. He is shown plunging either end of his all
powerful Astrobat into two futuristic tanks, twirling them around his head,
and sending them flying throught he air. Aside from his immense strength he
can move at almost infinate speeds. He can project holographic multiples of
himself to fool his enemies. He can also increase his physical size greatly.
This can be seen in the opening credits when he is fighting some alien creature
and increases his size to match that of his opponent. He also has a few other
nifty items to further increase his already impressive abilities
.
Astrobat
Who didn't
want one of these? Jesse even tells of when he first got the Astrobat. It was
originally in the form of a polymer energy column. Jesse merely seized the column,
spins it around a few times, and it shrinks to the proper size, although its mass
stays the same, and only Jesse Dart is able to lift it. When Jesse wasn't using
his astrobat it separated into two small batton like objects that he wore at his
sides. When he wished to use it he would raise his hands above his head and say,
"Astrooooooh-Baaaaat" with the pitch of his voice rising every so annoyingly towards
the end of "baaaaat". The the two halves would fly into his hands. He would then
procede to twirl them around a couple of hundred times to impress the ladies,
then join them together at which point weapon would extend to an overal length
of about two meters. He then had a couple of neat attack forms that he could use.
For starters, the astrobat combined with his enormous strength made excellent
bludgeon attacks. Jesse could also yell, "Astro Thunder!" and discharge a reddish
chain of energy. He could also yell "Astrolighting" and discharge purple lightning
bolts from either end of the weapon. The last power I'm aware was "Astro Torch"
where a gloing red energy field would surround either end of the Astrobat and
it could cut right through a ship's hull.
Star Crow
This was Jesse
Dart's ship. It had two lasers called "Crow Blasters" as its armament and was
capable of travelling at "Comet Speed". When away from his ship Jesse could summon
it to him by calling out "Star Crow". He could pilot it from within the cockpit,
or stand on it behind the cockpit and fly it much like a surfboard.
Circlet
This device that he wore wasn't so useful to him, but it was very much so to Princess
Aurora. Without it she had no way of controlling his violent tendencies. It was
given to her by the Emperess. While Jesse wears the circlet (whcih he cannot remove)
all she must do is cross her hands to deliver pain impulses to him, basically
resulting in an extreme migrain headache for our unlucky cyborg. It is this way
that Jesse is deterred from killing just about every thing he meets.
Arimos
To the best of my knowledge, he is also a cyborg, although he doesn't possess
Jesse Dart's abilities. Evidence of this is given in one episode when they land
on a beach to go swimming. Princess Aurora struts around in a pink bikini while
Jesse, Arimos, and Porkos, procede to drool profusely. They then complained
that they had to go swimming in their armor because it was attatched to them
and they could not remove it, no doubt because they were cyborgs.
Tridencer
Basically it's
a gun with the head of a trident. It can fire trident shaped energy beams or shoot
criogenic beams called "Space Ice" that encase their targets in ice, effectively
imobilizing them.
Sea Wasp

This is Arimos' ship. It is capable of flight and traveling underwater. If you
take a look at the ship you'd think that the only way to get it to move anywhere
is to get out and give it a push. The front of the vessel is cone shaped and it
can fire a volley of rockets called "Wasp Stingers".
Computer
If Arimos wasn't
the smartest member of the crew already, he also had a handy little computer to
help him solve all of life's nagging problems. The computer looks like a $5 Texas
Instruments calculator, but by pushing a bunch of buttons, it shows him the answer
to any dillema in its display screen. I always wondered how he asked it questions
when it had no letters on its keypad, just numbers and a few arithmetic symbols.
Porkos
As it has already been stated, he is also a cyborg. His body armor contains two
small rocket pods in each of his feet, (good place for explosives, don't you think)
and a breastplate on his chest looking much like the dial from an old rotary phone.
He can remove this plate and use it like a conventional shield. While it is on
his chest he can call his ship by "dialing" his chest and saying "Porkos calling
Space Hog, come in Space Hog". Another lame attempt at comic relief.
Star
Chain

This is a flail like weapon consisting of a handle connected to a chain ending
in a spiked ball. I think he ended up hitting himself with this weapon more
than he hit his opponents. Yet another attempt at comic relief.
Space
Hog
This is Porkos'
ship and looks very similar to the Star Crow. Until recently I thought it was
called the Space Hawk, which sounds a lot better if you ask me. It armament consists
of two laser cannons called "Hog Phasers".
Cosmos Queen
This is the
main ship which has three separate bays to launch the Spaceketeers' fighting vessels.
