Course 18: GARP Project Team Meeting Notes

Attendees:

Agenda:

The meeting goal was to discuss the business process by which Course 18 decides and processes student funding in the form of FE, RA and TA.

General Information:

• Graduate Students have guaranteed funding
• All students are paid at the same rate
• The bulk of the awards are for TA’s

Would be nice to have…

• Mechanism to identify the type of students in the Math Department (Pure Math versus Applied Math)
• Field to identify the source of student funding (Sponsor information?)

Other…

• The Math Department is concerned with the number of awards that have gone to the GEO for approval. This same concern was expressed by MAS (Linda Peterson)…As a goal, we should have better validation rules to prevent this mistake from happening.
