This web site is structured to assist MIT staff in meeting the needs of the community they serve. Based on the premise that one may not know the name of an administrative office or department, listings herein are categorized. The overview section is an introduction to the campus, various MIT services and the history and governance of the Institute.
The business operations section shows the paperwork side of MIT: from academic needs to research, from finance to property management, from reservations to publicity and connects one to the key hubs for answering student questions, and the employment section is covers the now: benefits, commuting, and work-life balance, and next steps: personal and professional growth and business development.
Notice of future plan:: The content of the site will be folded into a new staff web site sponsored by Human Resources. If you have any requests or ideas of what to include in this new site pleas send them to Janet Walzer (janetbw @ mit.edu). If you have further ideas for improving the wrokplace and educational tools offered, please send the to sspr @ mit.edu.
This site was created and is maintained by the Peer Resources Subcommittee of the Woking Group on Support Staff issues.
