The end days of the universe draw nigh. All across the multiverse, the gods are in final preparations for the battles that will end existence across all the planes of reality. _This_ reality at least.
On the Norse plane, Thor sparks and thunders as he paces back and forth, waiting for Ragnarok. On the Egyptian plane, Horus and Isis share one last moment before striding out to face the hordes of Set. On the Christian plane, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse ride out and the masses gather at the place which is called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
But all is not lost. Many pantheons have one last chance to cheat destiny and ensure the survival of their ideals. A few lesser spirits and demigods are not mentioned in the final prophecies, their fates unknown or undecided. Whether due to luck or some providential will, they will be given the chance to escape. They will be pushed through into an entirely new multiverse, one which is not destined to meet the final end of this one.
What this other multiverse will look like, none can say, not even the most wise or far-seeing of the gods of this universe. The only thing known is that they will have a chance to live.
