 The Edgerton Center and the Student Technology Consultants are offering the following IAP activity:
  • Get involved in a student-run consulting group!
    Jan 16th, 2pm-4pm. Room 2-132.

    For undergraduates, the STC offers an opportunity to
    1. Get connected with MIT staff and faculty,
    2. Get your foot in the door for future UROPs,
    3. Make $15 per hour as a consultant,
    4. Develop valuable skills,
    5. Learn about training available with the STC,
    6. and to help manage a Startup right here at MIT.

    For graduate students, the STC offers an opportunity to
    1. Learn about available positions as managers or consultants of the STC,
    2. Influence the design of a consulting group that could be helpful to research,
    3. and discover a new way to hire short term student technical help.

    During the two-hour session, we will
    1. Develop ideas for new products and services,
    2. Show you how to get involved as a consultant or manager of the STC,
    3. Bring you in on the ground floor of a student Startup consulting agency,
    4. Sign you up for training
    5. And make some new friends over food and drinks.

    We had a great turnout for this activity; over 40 people came! To those of you who were there, thanks for coming and look at the coming activities. For those who didn't make it, there are still a number of opportunities to get involved. Look at the activities still being offered during IAP for ways to get involved.

  • Training Session 2
    Jan 18th, 4pm-5pm, Edgerton Center Classroom - 4-402
    If you didn't get trained after the previous activity, come to this training session to get activated as an STC consultant! If you can't make this training session, they can be arranged upon request. Email ashok7@mit.edu to arrange.
  • Open Staff Meeting
    Jan 24th, 5pm, Edgerton Center Classroom? - 4-402
    If you are interested in the management side of the STC, come join us at an open staff meeting. We'll be presenting a way to get involved with STC management which can lead to later positions like President, Webmaster, Agent, or Product Manager. No resumes required.
