STeLA is a student-run organization that brings science and engineering students together from top universities worldwide to provide leadership education and facilitate multicultural dialogue on global issues.
The mandate of the STeLA Leadership Forum is to create an intellectual network of advanced undergraduate and graduate students from prestigious US, Japanese, Chinese, French and other international universities in science and technology.
Why the conference?
The mission of STeLA is to create an international network of the next generation of leaders in science and technology and equip them with training in leadership, an awareness of global issues, and a vision for the future. This network will significantly contribute to future efforts to solve global issues in which science and technology are crucial components.
Through our annual conference, participants are taught fundamental aspects of leadership; understanding the current situation, relating to team members, creating a vision for the future and innovation in reaching their vision. They are further challenged to take their skills beyond the scope of laboratories and classrooms by learning about the role of science and technology in global issues.
We would like to emphasize that national citizenship is not a factor, you need only to be studying in the US, Japan, China or France.
STeLA's Goals:
* Bringing together future leaders - including scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers - from around the world
* Facilitating a multi-disciplinary dialogue on global issues
* Creating a long-term network of the next generation of leaders in the fields of science and technology
