The Nuclear Fuel Cycle
The Science, Technology and Global Security Working Group has a number of active and past projects in the area of nuclear fuel cycle analysis. Technical aspects of nuclear waste disposal, fissile materials (plutonium and highly enriched uranium) management and disposal, safe and secure cleanup of the nuclear weapons complex, and the security of the nuclear fuel cycle, including security of nuclear power plants and transportation of nuclear materials form the majority of this research.
