While Stopit email is monitored regularly, even on most weekends, it
is not the appropriate place to send email if you feel threatened.
If you feel in danger and/or need to report a crime, contact the MIT Police immediately

Pursuing Disciplinary Charges
To pursue disciplinary charges, you need to work with the Office of Student Discipline directly.
Send email to MIT Stopit if:
- You receive:
- harassing or offensive email or zephyr messages
- mass mailings from a member of the MIT community advertising events or sales.
Note: Be sure to forward the full headers when notifying
Stopit about an email complaint.
- Your password is stolen.
- You are disturbed by:
- inappropriate postings to a web page
- inappropriate behavior in an Athena cluster
- other behavior that you think may be illegal or against MIT policy or MITnet Rules of Use.
- You wish to file notification of a claimed copyright
infringement.
