Minor in STS
The goal of the minor program is to give students a broad social perspective on the fields of engineering and science: how they have evolved and how they fit into the wider context of society, culture, politics, and values.
The Minor in STS consists of six subjects as follows:- One STS Tier I subject*
- One STS Tier II subject
- Three other STS subjects
- STS.091 Critical Issues in STS**

* For students who matriculated before Fall 2010, the Tier I requirement can be fulfilled with any STS HASS-D subject.
** For students who matriculated before Fall 2010, the STS.091 requirement can also be fulfilled by STS.092 (formerly know as the Capstone Seminar in STS Studies).
