Student MATLAB
IS&T is pleased to offer MATLAB free of charge to all
registered MIT undergraduate and graduate students.
Installation
While MATLAB can be used offline, an Internet connection is required for installation and activation. While installation is possible over any Internet connection (the VPN is not required), the download size of a full MATLAB installation is quite large (up to 5GB on some platforms). For this reason, we recommend a direct connection to MITnet, or another network connection capable of at least 10Mbit download speeds (e.g. Verizon FiOS, Comcast Xfinity, RCN High-Speed).
To begin installing Student MATLAB, you will need to obtain license number and activation code, and then follow the instructions in Hermes:

Faculty & Staff
Faculty and staff are not eligible for this license. Licenses can be purchased from IS&T Volume Site-Licensed Software. (requires MIT login)
