Deadlines
Each study abroad program has its own application deadlines. In addition, the Global Education Office has its own internal deadlines to ensure that students are prepared and that all the relevant MIT offices can be informed of the approved students for study abroad.
Global Education Office
Fall & Full Year, and Summer Programs (except CME)
If you are planning to study abroad during the Fall term or for the entire academic year, please complete and submit a Worksheet for Planning to the Study Abroad Office by May 1.
Spring Programs (except MIT-Madrid)
If you are planning to study abroad during the Spring term, please complete and submit a Worksheet for Planning to the Study Abroad Office by December 1.
Cambridge-MIT Exchange (CME)
If you are planning to study abroad through the Cambridge-MIT Exchange Program (CME) there are two application deadlines:
January 15, 2010 Early Deadline in departments: for students who would like to have admission decision in time for the spring registration and can complete their application by January 15.
February 12, 2010 Regular Deadline in departments: for students who will not have an opportunity to apply in January.

IAP-Madrid
If you are planning to study abroad through the IAP-Madrid Program, you need to complete the application process by November 4. If you missed this deadline, please contact the Global Education Office.
MIT-Madrid Program
If you are planning to study abroad through the MIT-Madrid Program, you need to complete the application process by October 16. If you missed this deadline, please contact the Global Education Office.
Departmental Exchange Deadlines
Materials Science and Engineering, Oxford Exchange
Application materials can be obtained from the Global Education Office, 12-189, or from Professor Linn Hobbs (hobbs@mit.edu, 617-253-6835). All materials should be submitted directly to Professor Hobbs in February 2010.
Architecture, Delft and University of Hong Kong Exchanges
