Senate Homeland Security and Foreign Affairs Committee and Senator Scott Brown's Office
This summer I worked in the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs (HSGAC) and in the office of Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) as a legislative intern. By working with a staffer on science, technology, and policy issues, I was able to gain insight into various legislations. I attended hearings and briefings on homeland security as well as science policy. Notably, with the cloture of the Cybersecurity Bill of 2012 and the Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare during my internship, I was able to directly observe making of the bills and the players involved.
