We are looking forward to having you on campus at Mount Holyoke very
soon.  In the meantime, we hope you will share some of your thoughts
with us by participating in the CIRP First-Year Survey.

The CIRP Survey, an important national survey, has been conducted at
colleges and universities across the country since 1966.  The Survey
asks students questions about high school activities, goals for
college, and plans after graduation.  Faculty and staff at Mount
Holyoke pay close attention to this information, and we value your
input.

This year, the online version of this survey will be conducted by the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and coordinated by the
Higher Education Research Institute (HERI) at the University of
California at Los Angeles.  We have provided your email address and
other basic information to these institutions for purposes of
conducting the survey.  Your responses will be completely confidential
and no personally identifiable information will be attributed to you
without your explicit permission.  

As a welcome gift, we will be offering three prizes of $50 in
MHCXpress Card credit.  Everyone completing the survey by the closing
date of September 4, 2006 will be automatically entered into a random
drawing for the prizes.  We know your time is valuable and want to
show our appreciation for it.

consists of nine linked sections; please complete all sections so we
have a record of your full set of responses. This survey takes
approximately 20-25 minutes to complete.  We encourage you to fill out
the survey as soon as possible, but allow enough time to complete it
