1. The past five years have seen some important changes at the University of Chicago . Please review the list of changes below. First, indicate how well informed you are of these changes. Then, indicate how each new feature of life at the University of Chicago might influence your encouragement of a high school student among your family and friends to attend the College.

New College academic programs promoting advanced language study and study abroad.  
Increased financial support for College students pursuing independent artistic endeavors, scientific research and scholarly investigation.  

New campus facilities completed:

  • Renovation of the Reynolds Club to create a student-centered space including social and student activity space.
  • Max Palevsky residence hall, part of a new north campus Quad bordered by Regenstein Library and a new dining commons in the old Bartlett gym
  • Gerald Ratner Athletics Center, with an Olympic-size pool and competition gymnasiums
 
Expanded internship opportunities for College students in both for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.
