Dear Jagruti,

Greetings from Barnard, where students have just returned from spring 
break.  It is also a time of year when Barnard plans for the future 
and looks for data to assess our performance as an educational 
institution.  I write to you today to ask for your participation in a 
very important survey.

Barnard is cooperating with other selective colleges in a survey of 
alumnae evaluating their undergraduate experience and post-graduation 
activities.  This research is being conducted by the Consortium on 
Financing Higher Education (COFHE) for its 31 members, including 
Barnard. COFHE performs research and policy analysis related to 
admissions and financial aid to assist members in identifying ways to 
keep college affordable and institutions financially and academically
sound.

All data from this survey will remain strictly confidential; we will 
only be analyzing aggregate data.
