Dear member of the Class of 1998,

Over the upcoming weeks, Brown University will be surveying everyone 
from the Class of 1998 to gain an understanding of the experiences 
and perceptions of alumni ten years after graduation.  I invite you 
to share your views on your Brown experience, as well as the years 
following college. Information gathered from this questionnaire will 
help us assess various aspects of our academic and co-curricular 
programs as a part of the ongoing Plan for Academic Enrichment.

Brown will be participating in this survey along with other members 
of a consortium of private colleges and universities. This joint 
survey administration will provide us with the opportunity to examine 
the Brown experience in comparison to similar private colleges and 
research universities, including but not exclusive to members of the 
Ivy League.

Your participation is important to the success of this study. I urge 
you to reflect seriously upon the role Brown has played in your adult 
life and complete the survey.  You will receive an e-mail in the next 
few days with instructions on how to complete the survey. Be assured 
we take your privacy very seriously. Individual responses to the 
survey will be confidential, with study results reported publicly 
only in the aggregate.
