Subject: Dartmouth Alumni Survey Date: Thu, 04 Jun 2009 10:37:03 -0400 From: President James Wright To: Jagruti S. Patel Dear Graduate of Dartmouth's Class of 1998, Many of the outcomes of a college education are not obvious until some time passes after graduation. How your Dartmouth experience affected you and your classmates is of great interest to the College. The only way we can obtain insights is with your help. Accordingly, Dartmouth is conducting a web-based survey of the classes of 1998 and 2004. The primary purpose of this survey is to determine your perspective on how well the College is serving our students and meeting its overall objectives. Your personal responses will be important both for what you tell us about your experience and for helping us achieve a response rate high enough to provide confidence that the results are representative of your class. We are cooperating with thirty other private colleges and universities in this survey of alumni, so we will be able to place your responses in the context of responses from other institutions. You may be assured of complete confidentiality. No individually identifiable information will be reported in any form. Results from this survey will be shared with College officers, deans, and faculty leaders to assist them in setting priorities and making policy decisions. The Dartmouth coordinator for the project is Heather Kim, Director of Institutional Research. If you have any questions regarding this survey, please contact her at heather.kim@dartmouth.edu. Thank you for considering this request. The survey will help us improve all that we do for current and future students, and I hope you will complete it at your earliest convenience. Thank you for all you do for Dartmouth.
