MIT values the insights and experiences of our alumni, and for that 
reason we periodically ask alumni to reflect on their time at MIT and 
provide us with feedback that can help us improve our academic and 
student programs.  We have joined with a number of other private 
universities and are administering a survey to the classes of 1982, 
1987, 1992, 1997, 2004 and 2007.

I hope you will take a few moments to complete this survey.  In 
addition to our academic departments, various committees and task 
forces at MIT will receive the data from this project. The survey is 
voluntary and takes about 30 minutes to complete.  You may answer as 
few or as many questions as you wish.  Your responses will be 
confidential.  The results of this survey will only be reported in 
summary form and will provide important evaluations to academic 
departments and administrative areas of student life.  You can access
