Dear Jagruti Patel,

I invite you to participate in the 2009 Rice University Alumni
Survey.  This project is targeted exclusively to the baccalaureate
alumni of 1999 and 2004, and is part of the university's ongoing
efforts to evaluate Rice's educational outcomes and institutional
effectiveness.  Through the convenience of this web-based survey, we
hope that you will candidly share with us your thoughts on your
post-graduation experiences and an assessment of your undergraduate
education at Rice.  We are participating in this study with most of
the thirty-one selective private colleges and universities that are
member institutions of the Consortium on Financing Higher Education
(COFHE).

As we have done in the past, Rice is administering this survey through
the web survey facilities of MIT.  I assure you that all data will
remain strictly confidential and the results of the survey will not be
reported in a manner that would identify you or any other individual.
