the Class of 1998 that Stanford, along with 30 other universities and
colleges, is conducting.  Our records indicate that you have not yet
answered the survey, but we hope you will take this chance to help
tell the story of the Class of 1998.  Your thoughts and opinions will
not only provide Stanford with valuable information about our
performance as an educational institution, but will also enable us to
compare characteristics with those of our peer institutions.  So I

This research is being conducted by the Consortium on Financing Higher
Education (COFHE), which performs research and policy analysis related
to admissions, financial aid, and academics.  The coordinator
