SENT LOCALLY Subject: Trinity College Alumni Survey Date: Tue, 3 Mar 2009 14:39:11 -0500 From: Hughes, James J. To: Dear Ms. Patel (Trinity College class of ), Every few years we ask a sample of Trinity College alumni to let us know what they are doing and what reflections they have on their time at Trinity College. This year we are asking the classes of 1998, 1999, 2003 and 2004 to spend half an hour or so giving us your feedback on our new online survey. While we know about the views and careers of many individual alumni, we lack systematic information about what Trinity alumni do after college, when they do it, and how they believe their experiences at Trinity have contributed to their personal and professional lives. The results of this survey will help us identify and strengthen the most valuable aspects of Trinity and point to areas where new approaches and improvements would be most beneficial. The information from you and other graduates is used, for instance, by the Career Services Office to assist students in planning for life after Trinity. To begin the survey please click this link: [url] Prospective and current students, faculty members, and administrators would all like to know more about the influence of the Trinity experience on postgraduate activities. Perhaps you would also. We will make a summary of the findings from this survey available so that you can learn what alumni across the years think of their Trinity experiences. There are some select statistics from the last alumni survey here: http://www.trincoll.edu/orgs/planning/publicdata/Alumni.html All of the colleges in the Consortium on Financing Higher Education (COFHE) are conducting this survey. By participating we will be able to compare the evaluations and experiences of our alumni with those of alumni from these other outstanding colleges. I can assure you that all information will be strictly confidential and that the results will be reported in a summary form only. Once the data are gathered, no one will be able to identify individual respondents for either internal or external purposes. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me at (860) 297-2397 or at james.hughes@TrinColl.edu. Sincerely yours, James J.
