Subject: New Alumnae Survey: Need Your Help Date: Tue, 24 Mar 2009 12:19:49 -0400 From: Lawrence Baldwin To: jag@mit.edu A LETTER FROM SUSAN CHALLENGER, Executive Director of the Alumnae Association Dear Jagruti, I am writing to ask for your assistance with the 2009 Alumnae Survey. It asks about your experiences both during your Wellesley years and since your graduation. I would be enormously grateful if you would help us out by completing it. Our last alumnae survey in 2005 provided important information for departments all across the College and helped to shape our understanding of the relative strengths and weaknesses of our academic programs. Your responses will be instrumental in our ongoing assessment of our performance as an educational institution. Here is your link to the survey: The Alumnae Survey takes approximately 20-25 minutes to complete. It contains seven sections. At the end of each section there is a submit button that you need to click to save your answers. After you have submitted a section you can return to it by using the back arrow on your browser (or by coming back to the link above at a later time). When you return to a section you will see your previously entered answers. You can change your answers, but you need to click on the submit button for the section again in order to save the changes. If you have any questions, please contact the project coordinator, Lawrence Baldwin, at (781) 283-3183 or at lbaldwin@wellesley.edu. The survey is being conducted by the Consortium on Financing Higher Education (COFHE) on behalf of its 31 members, of which Wellesley is one. It is being administered through MIT. Wellesley routinely collaborates on surveys with these schools, allowing the college to compare itself with other highly-selective institutions. This year, Wellesley has decided to survey ten recent classes to see how our alumnae are fairing in today's world. Your participation will ensure that Wellesley is strongly represented. Be assured that all data from this survey remain strictly confidential; survey reports will not contain personally identifiable information. Your personalized URL will enable us to avoid sending you reminders once you have completed the questionnaire. I thank you in advance for taking the time to complete your survey for Wellesley. Regards, Susan Challenger '76 Executive Director Wellesley College
