I am writing to encourage you to complete the Enrolled Student Survey
sent to you via e-mail about a few weeks ago.  If you have already
submitted the survey please accept my apologies and my thanks.  In
case you have deleted the original e-mail message, the URL is provided
below for your convenience. 

As you may recall, Dartmouth is participating in this survey along
with a group of selective private universities and colleges.  This
gives us the opportunity not only to learn what you think of your
undergraduate experience at Dartmouth but to compare it with the
experience of undergraduates at other institutions.  This year, MIT is
administering the online version of this national survey.

While your participation is voluntary, your response is very
important.  In order for the results of this study to be truly
representative, it is essential that each student complete the
questionnaire.  I want to assure you that your responses will be kept
strictly confidential.  The survey will be analyzed by staff inside
our Office of Institutional Research and no one else on campus will
see your individual responses to this survey.  In order to increase
the usefulness of the survey, we may combine your survey responses
with information we already have.  

I hope that you will be able to find the 25 minutes necessary to
complete the questionnaire.  Your doing so will make a difference in
the success of this project and its usefulness to future Dartmouth
