Subject: Request for Input: MIT Enrolled Student Survey Date: Sun, 6 Mar 2011 17:19:16 -0500 From: Chancellor Eric Grimson Reply-To: ess@MIT.EDU To: Jagruti S Patel Dear Jag, You may have seen recent requests to answer a survey called the MIT Enrolled Student Survey. This survey asks undergraduates to share their views about their time at MIT. We run this survey every four years in concert with peer schools. So far we have heard from half of you (57% freshmen; 50% sophomores; 48% juniors; 47% seniors). In 2007 our response rate was 63%. We hope to do at least as well this time around. I hope that you will take a few minutes to respond, giving MIT another source of information on the MIT student experience. The survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete based on responses received so far. Everyone who completes the survey will receive $5 in TechCash. You also will have an opportunity to enter a drawing for additional prizes. The survey is voluntary. The data will be treated as confidential, and results will be reported in summary form. To access the survey, please go to the following URL: Yours truly, Eric Grimson Bernard Gordon Professor of Medical Engineering Chancellor
