Dear Jag,
 
Every four years Williams conducts an extensive survey of its student
body as part of an ongoing effort to evaluate the student
experience. Faculty and administrators pay close attention to the
results as they are central to campus planning and improvement.
 
Please take a few minutes to tell us about your involvement in
academic and extracurricular pursuits; your interaction with faculty,
advisors and fellow students; and your perceptions of campus; by

Williams has joined with 30 other highly selective colleges and
universities to conduct the survey simultaneously. This will allow us
to make valuable comparisons between Williams and its peer
institutions.
 
The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete. I encourage you to
fill out the survey as soon as possible and to allow enough time to
complete it in one sitting.
 
I want to assure you that the confidentiality of your responses will
be protected fully. Our analyses of these data will consist entirely
of statistics and percentages for large groups. No
individually-identifiable information will ever be reported. Any
written comments you choose to make will never be associated with you
personally.
