Subject: Message About the Dartmouth Senior Survey Date: Thu, 29 Apr 2010 13:28:52 -0400 From: President Jim Y. Kim Reply-To: institutional.research@dartmouth.edu To: Jagruti S Patel Dear Jagruti, Congratulations on the completion of your college career -- graduation is just around the corner. I write to ask for your help in evaluating our programs and services by completing the Senior Survey at the URL listed below. The survey is conducted by the Consortium on Financing Higher Education (COFHE) on behalf of a group of selective private colleges and universities. Dartmouth participates regularly in COFHE Senior Surveys, and the results have provided us with valuable information in our effort to provide an outstanding undergraduate experience. This year, MIT is administering the on-line version of this national survey. By providing information about your undergraduate experiences and future plans you will help the College prepare the next generation of leaders. Completing the questionnaire takes approximately 20-25 minutes. I appreciate your participation during what we know is a busy time. All respondents will be entered into a raffle for prizes that include gift certificates to local restaurants and a lunch with me. Your responses will be kept strictly confidential. The survey will be analyzed by staff inside our Office of Institutional Research and results will be only presented in groups. In order to increase the usefulness of the survey, your survey responses may be combined with existing institutional data. You can find the survey at: This is a unique link assigned to you. For this reason, it is very important that you do not share it or forward this e-mail to anyone else. The survey consists of five linked sections. It is important that you complete all five sections, as each collects distinct information. We encourage you to fill out the survey as soon as possible, and allow enough time to complete it in one sitting. If you have questions or encounter any technical difficulties you should contact Dr. Heather Kim, Director of Institutional Research (heather.kim@dartmouth.edu). Thank you for taking the time to complete and submit this survey. Warmly, Jim Y. Kim President
