Subject: Rice Senior Survey Date: Fri, 19 Mar 2010 11:52:34 -0400 From: Dean of Undergraduates -- Robin Forman To: Jagruti S Patel Dear Jag, We are delighted to invite you to participate in the 2010 Senior Survey. For the past two decades the senior survey has been one of the methods by which we assess the effectiveness of the programs, services, resources and opportunities we provide our undergraduates. Therefore, we hope that through the convenience of this web-based survey you will candidly share with us your views about your undergraduate experiences and your future plans. After all, you are our best source of information about your Rice experience. Rice is participating with several research universities (e.g., Duke, Harvard, MIT, Stanford, and Princeton) in administering the 2010 Senior Survey. This gives us the added benefit of being able to compare our results with our peer schools. Your participation in the survey is voluntary, and you may answer as few or as many questions as you wish. Your responses will remain strictly confidential. The results of the survey will be reported in the aggregate and not in a manner that would identify you or any other individual. To access the survey, please click on the following link: url This is a unique link assigned to you. For this reason it is very important that you do not share it or forward this email to anyone else. The survey consists of five parts and is being administered on-line by the web survey services of MIT. It may take you approximately 25 minutes to complete, and although we encourage you to complete it in one sitting, you may save your responses and return to finish it later. The final section includes a few supplemental questions on local issues that will be asked only of the Rice seniors. If you encounter technical problems while completing the survey, please contact webservices@rice.edu. Thanks in advance for participating in this important institutional research project. Sincerely, Robin Forman Dean of Undergraduates
