Dear student group leaders, The Division of Student Life is getting ready to launch the new Student Organization Leadership Committee. This committee, charged by Dean Gustavo Burkett and Dean Leah Flynn Gallant, will work to implement a curriculum and training program that fosters a culture focused on necessary skill-development, reflective learning, civic engagement, and inclusive community building for the over 450 student-run organizations on the MIT campus. We want to make sure there are student voices on this committee - and based on your leadership roles, DSL wanted to extend an invitation to see if grad student leaders would be interested in joining. The time commitment for committee members would be a one-hour meeting every two weeks for this academic year, and around one to two hours of offline work in between meetings.
