Action Items:
- a ticket was opened with McAfee regarding On-Access scan service to working properly under Vista; waiting for their response
- IE7 issues; before we start testing certificate generation code on the test server we have to test it under XP and 2000 systems; custom installer for the certificate will be developed by SWRT ; Jonathan will coordinate with Jeff Shuller how to update the test server with latest built; Yuhui will send test server URL to vista-release; tester should report their findings to vista-testers
- For students Vista activation will be the same as for faculty and staff; downloads will be provided in DVD and 4 CDs formats; tests have to be performed to check how to activate when grace period of 30 days expires;
- We have to check how to upgrade Home edition to Enterprise when PC was ordered with Home edition preinstalled
- Training: 22 people signed up for two training sessions; it is 5 day long class; there are two sessions: 22-26 January and 12-16 February; based on these session we will decide if we want to expand training
- Communication plan is prepaied ; Alex will check with Residential Computing Consultants on how we should involve them in the Vista support process
- Active directory services for Vista are still undergoing testing; there are still issues with roaming profile, folder redirection; some group policies deployment have to be adjusted
- documentation was prepared for activation procedure, minimum and recommended requirement for Vista; team members will review this documentation and provide their feedback; stock answers for VirusScan and certificate generation will be prepared; Vista product page has to be developed by February
