Vista Release second meeting

Attendees:

Jonathan Hunt, Alex Kozlov, Paul Dzus, Mike Bryan, David Tanner, Linda Le Blanc,

•  The group will set up test environment using Ghost imaging system. Alex will help to partition and setup Vista dedicated machines for testers.

•  Vista release team will concentrate its testing efforts on Windows Vista business 32-bit version system (Microsoft will offer 6 different versions of Vista )

•  Each group member will identify areas of Vista core functionally (applications or services) which he or she will be testing

•  Each tester will e-mail test results to vista-release mailing list. These results will be verified by SWRT group and added to the Vista Matrix page. It will capture current status of supported applications and services, vendor support, and possible work around

•  Active Directory functionality of Vista will be out of scope for this stage of testing. Instead the group will focus on testing Vista for individual users

•  Vista release notebook will be link to SWRT projects page

•  Vista related documentation and programs will be placed in certificate protected folder on Vista page available only to members of vista-release team. Alex will e-mail link to Windows Vista Product guide to the group

•  Filemaker and other MIT supported applications and services will be added to the Matrix once they are tested
