Who's Who

Jane Trull (janej@mit.edu, w92-156) handles all the student payroll and related paperwork. If you have any problems with payroll issues send a note to Jane. See below for how to report hours.

Ken Higgins (khiggins@mit.edu, w92-156) is often helpful, especially when Jane isn't around.

Your Supervisor will be your primary contact. He or she will help you choose your project and with issues of doing it.

Getting Started

Obtain from Jane:

Student Personnel Action form

All new watchmakers complete this form. If you are unsure of how to answer some of the questions, here are some hints.

UROP proposal & cover sheet

Paid, credit, and thesis UROPs need to complete and sign a UROP cover sheet.
Enter "MIT Information Systems" as department, Mike Barker, Bill Cattey, Paul Hill or Jonathon Weiss as faculty supervisor.

Be sure to enter your previous UROPs and sign the form.

Give the completed form to Jane.

All students need to write a project proposal. Send this via email to wm-admin@mit.edu and CC your supervisor. Volunteer UROPs be sure to note in
your proposal that you are doing a volunteer UROP.

(At the end of the semester all students will need to write a summary of their project which reviews what you proposed, what you did, and what you learned along the way.)
