Jean Marie Barnwell (Alice)

 

 
 

Has been entertaining professionally for over 10 years now. She has starred in over 350 national television commercials, numerous print media (with Ford Models in NYC) and several Off-Broadway theater productions. Her television credits include guest-starring roles in: "Are You Afraid of the Dark" (Nickelodeon), "Seventh Heaven" (Spelling Entertainment), "Second Noah" (ABC), "Feds," (Universal Television), and "ER" (Warner Brothers'/ABC). Her television movie credits include starring roles in: "From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler" (Hallmark Hall of Fame/ABC), and "Blue River" (Signboard Hill/FOX). Her film credits include supporting roles in: "Angie" (Warner Brothers'), and "Born to be Wild" (Warner Brothers'). She has also performed with the Bolshoi Opera in "Malada" at the Metropolitan Opera House and was a member of the Metropolitan Opera Children's Choir. She has studied with many vocal, acting, and dialect coaches in New York City and Los Angeles. She was trained in Jazz, Tap, and Ballet at Broadway Dance Studios in New York City.

Currently she is a junior majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In her freshman year she was a member of The Shakespeare Ensemble, performing as Helena in "A Midsummer Night's Dream." She has taken several film production classes at Emerson College over the summer, has directed 2 shorts, and is in the process of co-scripting her first screenplay. Over the past year she has been establishing a new theatre company at MIT called The Tech Players, which she co-founded with Cemocan Yesil. She will be directing The Tech Players debut performance of "Charlie and Algernon," the musical adaptation of Daniel Keyes' novel "Flowers for Algernon."
