Marleigh Norton (Charlie's Mother)

Marleigh was born and raised in Port Huron, Michigan, which is where she got her first taste of theater. She was frequently seen in Port Huron Civic Theatre productions such as "Guys and Dolls", "Anything Goes", "Cinderella", and "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves". Later, she moved on to directing with high school productions of "Oklahoma!" and "Flowers for Algernon", the non-musical version of "Charlie and Algernon". At MIT, her theatrical aspirations took a long hiatus in favor of her Bachelor's Degree in Film & Media Studies and Computer Science, with a brief lapse to take the role of Hannah in the Occasional Player's production of Tom Stoppard's "Arcadia". Since college, Marleigh lived and traveled in Germany before settling back down in Boston. An offer of the title role in Tom Stoppard's "Hapgood" tempted her back into the world of theater, leaving her vulnerable to the Tech Players' audition announcement for a show she finds nostalgic. Marleigh would like to thank the Tech Players for the chance to play a role she's wanted to play since high school, and even forgives the omission of the knife-wielding scene she was so enamoured of from the play.
