What is Tecplot? Where does it come from?

Tecplot is a data visualization package developed explicitly for engineers and scientists. It is developed and marketed by Tecplot, Inc. .

Tecplot on Athena

Tecplot 360 version 2012 R1 is the current default version on Athena for all platforms. You can run it by typing:

add tecplot; tecplot &

General 360-13 R1 usage information can be found in files README.athena and README.config. The What Runs Where Tecplot entry may have the most current pointers to documentation.

Tecplot Help

• Tecplot includes extensive online help. Simply choose the Help -> Contents menu item.

• There are also an online 360-2013 R1 Scripting Guide, 360-2013 R1 User's Manual.

• 360-2013 R1 manuals.

• The Athena Consultants can help you get started using Tecplot, but do not officially support it.
