What is Tecplot? Where does it come from?

Tecplot is a data visualization package developed explicitly for engineers and scientists. It is developed and marketed by Tecplot, Inc. .

Tecplot on Athena

Tecplot 360 version 2008 is the current default version on Athena for all platforms (i.e., this is the version obtained from Dash or by typing:

add tecplot; tec360 &
