Dan Katz's Pre-Mystery-Hunt Mini-Hunts

Every year since 2002, I have traditionally prepared for the MIT Mystery Hunt in one of two different ways: either by co-writing the Hunt itself, or by preparing a mini-hunt for practice. These mini-hunts are always restricted to whichever team I am hunting with until the Hunt is over, after which I release them to the public.

The mini-hunts were hosted in various places as I moved from school to school, and as a result some of them have been homeless for the last few years. So by request I have gathered them in one place. Note that some of the older hunts may include out-of-date e-mail addresses; if you need to contact me, the best way is currently katzd-at-guilford-dot-edu. Also, for any hunt with a "tip jar," the tip jar should still work, but for best results I recommend using the one on the front page of the 2011 mini-hunt.

Thanks, and enjoy!
