Leann Dobranski, Assistant Director
Leann Dobranski joined TLL as Assistant Director in January 2007. She is the program administrator for all TLL's offerings, including new faculty teaching orientations, the graduate student teaching certificate program, and the "Better Teaching @ MIT" IAP seminar series. In her role, Leann also provides data analysis support to assessment and evaluation projects.
As part of her responsibility for TLL communications, Leann works closely with the Office of the Dean for Undergraduate Education (DUE) to promote and highlight curriculum innovation at the Institute. Recently, she managed the production of DUE's "Extraordinary Learning @MIT" video, which runs on the information kiosk at the main entrance in Lobby 7.
Prior to working at MIT, Leann worked as an engineer in industry for twelve years. She was a project engineer for Honeywell, Inc. in its Sensor and Guidance Products Division and then worked in distribution engineering and supply chain management for the Trane Company, Becton Dickinson, and Hannaford Supermarkets. Leann received her B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
