Microteaching

Microteaching workshops allow novice instructors to practice their teaching skills in a comfortable environment. Participants give a short presentation in their own field to other workshop members who roleplay as students. Audience members, including faculty members, provide feedback to the microteacher.

Each presentation is recorded on a DVD and the disk given to the microteacher for his/her use (no one else has access to the recording). A microteacher can review the recording with a faculty member, a graduate TA colleague, or a teaching consultant from the Teaching and Learning Laboratory.

A Service Request Form can be filled out and sent online or printed and returned to TLL, Room 5-122.
