Trademark
MIT welcomes applications from prospective trademark licensees. If you are interested in becoming a trademark licensee of MIT, your organization must complete the below Application and return it to our office along with:
- Payment of a non-refundable $100 License Application Fee, payable to "Massachusetts Institute of Technology"
- A current certificate of insurance with MIT as a named insured
- Sample(s) of your company's product(s) to be licensed
- Factory Site Disclosure Form(s)
The Summary of Terms sheet and the
List of Costs and Fees
describe the general requirements of the Trademark License Agreement and the fees associated with our licensing program.
Once your application has been reviewed and approved, we will send the Agreement to you for completion.
To license trademarks related to the Department of Athletics, Physical Education
and Recreation (DAPER) which includes MIT Engineers and the Beaver
insignia, please see the separate
DAPER
trademark agreement and be sure to list these marks on your application.
