Parking
On street (metered) parking is scarce. The nearest parking garage is at the Marriott Hotel (parking entrance is on Ames Street).
Directions
The MIT Technology Licensing Office is located at 5 Cambridge Center at the corner of Ames and Main Streets in Cambridge, MA. We are on the second floor directly above Legal Sea Foods restaurant.
From Logan Airport
If you are coming from the airport, we suggest that you take a taxi (approximately $25). Tell the driver to take you to Legal Sea Foods restaurant in Kendall Square, Cambridge.
Driving directions from Logan:
After you leave Logan Airport, follow signs for BOSTON (CALLAHAN TUNNEL) and Route 93. Upon leaving the tunnel, the road splits -- stay to your left and get onto 93 North. Take the second exit which will read STORROW DRIVE - BOSTON. Stay on Storrow Drive until you come to the exit for CAMBRIDGE (MIDDLE LANE EXIT). Follow exit and continue over Longfellow Bridge which will put you onto Broadway. Continue on Broadway about two blocks until you get to the Marriott Hotel (on your left) where you will find public parking. The Technology Licensing Office is on the second floor of 5 Cambridge Center (directly above Legal Sea Foods restaurant at the corner of Ames and Main Streets).
Using Public Transportation or the “T”
We recommend taking public transportation if possible as parking can be difficult. Take the MBTA Red Line to the Kendall Stop. The Technology Licensing Office is on the second floor of 5 Cambridge Center (directly above Legal Sea Foods restaurant at the corner of Ames and Main Streets).
From the West (Mass Pike (I-90) Eastbound)
Take Massachusetts Turnpike East to Exit 18. Bear right after the toll booth, following the signs for Cambridge. Continue straight through traffic lights (Guest Quarters Suite Hotel will be on your right) over the bridge, staying in the right-hand lane. After crossing the bridge, make an immediate right onto Memorial Drive. Continue on Memorial Drive (the Charles River will be on your right side) for approximately 1.0 mile. (You will drive under the Mass Ave Bridge and the main building of MIT will be on your left -- huge dome, columns, etc.). Stay in the left lane and make a left turn at the Kendall Square sign (after the Sailing Pavilion) and go straight ahead onto Wadsworth Street. Make your first left onto Amherst and go to the very end of the street. Make a right onto Ames Street. Go straight through the traffic light -- you'll see public parking in the Cambridge Marriott, which will be on your right. The Technology Licensing Office is on the second floor of 5 Cambridge Center (directly above Legal Sea Foods restaurant at the corner of Ames and Main Streets).
From the North (I-93 Southbound)
Take Route 93 South to exit 26 for STORROW DRIVE - BOSTON (THIS EXIT IS RIGHT AFTER THE HAYMARKET-NORTH STATION EXIT). Stay on Storrow Drive until you come to the exit for CAMBRIDGE (MIDDLE LANE EXIT). Follow exit and continue over Longfellow Bridge which will put you onto Broadway. From the South (I-93 Northbound)

From Boston
Take Mass Ave. (Harvard) bridge into Cambridge. After crossing the river, continue past main entrance of MIT to first traffic light. Make a right onto Vassar Street and go to the first light. Bear right onto Main Street (Whitehead Institute will be across the street on the corner) Continue to first traffic light (Ames Street) and make a left. Public parking is available in the Cambridge Marriott Hotel. The Technology Licensing Office is on the second floor of 5 Cambridge Center (directly above Legal Sea Foods restaurant at the corner of Ames and Main Streets).
